A Tuesday in November

And in an instant, it's a Tuesday in November again

My body feels as I remember it to feel

I'm lying still, waiting for you to wake up

I remember every detail of your room

The permanent dirt beneath my shoes

The dust on my camera lens

The alarm will sound soon and we will eat breakfast for the last time

Oblivious to the finality of events

We will pack our bags for a hike near Olympus

I remember how peaceful it was

I remember how happy we were

Absence requires presence

And memory requires life

We will never live that Tuesday again

and in some way we never stopped living it
