The Frequencies Of Depression

I want to enter your mind and experience the frequencies of the world the way you do

light,

vibrations,

chemical signals in your head

chaos,

order,

and then chaos again

Is the silence of this room that deafening?

or not loud enough

Is the emptiness you feel comforting?

or unbearable

I want to feel what you felt

when you told me that you wanted to kill yourself

The time in our heads is quite lonely so I thought you could use a friend

If the visible spectrum is too narrow to find any beauty

Let's paint the sea red

So we can talk about wavelengths under a pink sky

If the air oscillations are too violent to be deemed melodies

Let's dance with the noise

and let's cry in silence

If you wish you were an invisible artist

Let's disappear in the light

And let's write poetry in complete darkness

I'm not saying it's a matter of perspective

but sunsets were meant to be viewed

I'm not saying it gets better

but we could go and pet some cats

I'm not saying this poem gets you

but it doesn't have to

It's just that this world is light,

vibrations,

and the signals in your heads

It's love,

death,

and then love again

frequencies,

memories,

and maybe some bad thoughts

Please remember you are not alone
